Ever since I have been married (1 year) I have found that it is so hard to find good girlfriends. Its kind of a strange feeling, and maybe you have felt the same way I do, maybe not, maybe you will one day. I loooove my friends. The ones I've gathered from middle school, high school, college and volunteering, but with time we have all moved apart. I am one of the only ones married and it has isolated me in some ways. WHY CANT ALL MY FRIENDS JUST BE MARRIED? I think this would solve a lot of my problems & if we all lived within a 10 mile radius of each other that would be great too. Is that too much to ask for? In the meantime though I have started to pray to meet some good married girlfriends. At first I kinda felt lame for even praying for something so silly, but I continued to do so because it is important to me! Then something pretty spectacular happened. I guess I should introduce myself, HI ! I am Alexa & this is my husband Steven. We have been married for a little over a year now. Our story is a long one sooo..I will give you the gist. We met our freshman year of college, we were great "study partners"... if you know what I mean ;). We started really dating a few months later. Steven had the opportunity to serve an LDS mission in Milan, Italy. He left the summer of 2013. I stayed at school for a few more semesters. We faithfully wrote letters to each other every week. I decided to serve a mission for my church as well. I left my mission in the summer of 2014 to Berlin, Germany. Steven and I stopped writing as much. When he got back home to the states in summer '15 we stopped writing altogether. It wasn't until later that fall that we starting communicating again ha. Have you ever done the hair and ring test? The test will tell you the gender order of your kids, and how many you will have. It's pretty SPOOKY. You get a piece of your own hair and a ring with significant meaning to you. Loop the hair into the ring so that you can dangle it. Starting to the side of your pinky trace the outline of your hand with the ring and trace it back to your pinky. When you get back to your pinky move it to the center of your hand. If the ring sways back and forth its a GIRL, if it moved in a circle its a BOY! My husband and I did the test tonight. Our results were girl, boy, boy. Once you are done having kids the ring just stops. Steven (my husband) did the test 3 separate times each time was the same. It was freaky. We aren't planning on having kids for a few more years but it will be very interesting to see if the test actually works!  -a

              For a long time now I have been wanted to start a  blog. I am a  terrible journal keeper, but long for someplace  to share my  thoughts  and be creative. So I am starting here and now.  T hese are the ramblings of my head and the experiences close to my heart. -a
